Vintage Trailer of the Week 17
I saw this in a cinema as a little kid. I thought it was great. I was right. Beautiful, unique, a little cheesy, a lot clunky. Jeff Bridges. Oh to see it in a cinema today...

This is one of those films I'm scared to watch now...as my adult eyes will destroy the happy memories of when I first saw it.
Other things in this category are Monster Squad and pretty much any cartoon I watched. He-Man, Transformers, Thundercats...all turned out to be massively rubbish when watched later in life. Horrible.
Tron 2? T2ON or something? Mistake.
Tron is still great. So beautiful. Nothing else has ever looked like it - the Speed Racer of its time. When it came out on DVD (£5 for a 2 disc!) we had it on the big screens in work - lovely.
Narratively, its not exactly sophisticated, and some of the computer stuff is hilarious from a digital-age persepctive, but - it still works.
Am still amazed this has not been remade yet it could be great.
